How is professional whitening different from whitening strips?
Professional whitening uses stronger, dentist-supervised formulas with custom-fitted trays that keep the gel on the teeth and off the gums — so results come faster and more evenly, with any sensitivity monitored along the way. Just as important: we examine your teeth first, because whitening healthy enamel is very different from whitening teeth with hidden decay or gum issues.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years, and often longer with good care. The keys are healthy gums, a night guard if you grind, and regular checkups so we can catch any edge wear early.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people notice mild, temporary sensitivity during whitening — it fades within a day or two. Because we supervise the process, we can adjust the approach for sensitive teeth. It's one of the real advantages of whitening with your dentist rather than going it alone.
